You can make an impact on neighborhood preservation by donating your time for any of the following future activities:

participate in public meetings whose outcome might impact historic buildings
talk to children about how buildings tell us stories about the past
man the Historic Hyde Square table at a neighborhood event (Wake Up the Earth, Jamaica Plain World's Fair, etc.)
create art or signage that tells a neighborhood history story
post your research to the wiki
door knock to educate neighbors about preservation
help develop educational materials for the web and print
help develop a marketing strategy
write grants for child and adult educational programs
research the neighborhood - dig through the archives at the Robert Treat Paine Estate, the State House, or the Boston Public Library
help document the neighborhood through photos, words, or video
start a discussion group to talk about neighborhood history
share your preservation success story with a neighborhood newspaper.
