District Details
According to the 1984 Parker Hill/Mission Hill Study Report, this district was eligible for National Register and Architectural Conservation listings. Redevelopment of the lot at 33 Bynner Street in 2007 significantly altered the landscape with blasting of the Roxbury puddingstone outcropping and new construction.
This district was described as an "interesting pocket of modestly scaled, early 19th century Federal style single family residences." These are the oldest houses in the area between Centre Street and Huntington Avenue, dating to 1813.
